Pros and Cons of SEO
What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.
It is the service which includes the following:
+ On-Page Search Engine Optimization
+ Off-Page Search Engine Optimization
+ List Claiming
+ Google My Business
+ Web 2.0
+ Niche Blogs
+ More (depending on the agency)
These are all content related services included under the SEO umbrella.
This simply means they will be writing a ton of content on your behalf which includes on your website, on blog sites, in your blog, claiming your listings across various directories for purposes of obtaining backlinks, and even creating niche blogs to provide additional citations.
This is getting a little too technical, but the grand scheme is to utilize KEYWORDS to increase the organic (free) search results for your business as a long-term play. When I say long-term, I mean 6 months to 9 months before you start seeing any results.
You can truly get your business ranked within six (6) to nine (9) months. The results are long-lasting, will stick, and won't go away once you're done paying. You get fresh content on your website, blog, associated niche blogs, and social media - which all provide your customers and prospective customers great material to consume
It is very expensive and takes forever to see results. Who can pay for 6-9 months for a $1,000 - $2,000 per month service without any results? I know I couldn't. This biggest pain about this type of service, it is ideal for those with large budgets, so small businesses and solopreneurs wouldn't really benefit for this unless they were doing really well with cash flow.
Local Search! I have ranked a business in Google Maps within 48 minutes, some took 21 days. On a monthly service, you're still seeing results between 48 minutes on up to 21 days - totally depending on the type of business, area, and how much competition is present.

This is a free resource for any of the DIY people out there looking to take advantage of a Local Search type of service.
Keep in mind, 78% of clicks, calls, and website visits come from these local map search rankings. Yeah, that's 78%. 19% come from organic website ranking (SEO Services), and 3% come from Google Adwords. That's a rather expensive service to obtain only 3% of the clicks, calls and website visits.
