What is 'Low Fee' processing?
We provide some of the lowest fees in the industry. Our goal is to develop a long-standing relationship with each one of our clients. That doesn't happen by doing the traditional "nickel and dime" approach, whereas you're charged unidentified fees that show up on your statement month after month.

What is 'No Fee' processing?
No fee processing is simple. You pass the fees associating with processing cards directly to the customer. This is called Cash Discount or Reverse Cash Discount, depending on how you structure your payment profile. Cash Discount or Reverse Cash Discount came to fruition in 2010 with the Dodd-Frank Act, and the amendment that allows businesses to lower their costs of doing business is called,
"The Durbin Amendment." This particular amendment allows you, the business, to charge a 3% to 4% fee on debit cards used in your place of business. The Cash Discount works like this; items in the store have a particular price and a transaction includes a 3% to 4% convenience fee which cover your processing fees. If cash is used, there is no fee assessed, therefore implying a discount by paying with cash.
The explicit language in the Durbin Amendment which states that businesses are permitted to offer a discount to customers as an incentive and to encourage customers to pay by alternative methods other than a credit/debit cards.
The End Result
You pay 0% and $0 in processing fees, completely eliminating the fees you would have paid in previous months and previous years for accepting credit cards, and debit cards.
What is 'Flat-Rate' processing
Flat-Rate Processing became popular with the emergence of payment aggregators like Paypal, Square, Strip, and other online payment processing software companies. This includes the flat rate of 2.9% and $0.15. You never pay a monthly fee, monthly minimum fee, statement fee or on-file fee or PCI compliance fees. The problem with these online aggregators comes when you operate outside of the parameters of their processing portfolio. These payment software companies will essentially hold your money while they investigate your payment processing account. If you processed $10,000 in payments for the month, and you're normally processing $5,000 - they will likely hold your money while they investigate where the increase came from. They demand documentation; bank statements, receipts, invoices, and a wide range of documents while they hold your money from anywhere between 45 days and 180 days.

What is 'MO/TO' processing
MO/TO is an old business model, but it is still in existence today to some extent. MO/TO stands for Mail Order / Telephone Order. In short, there is a great deal of risk associated with transactions completed over the phone or through the mail. The increased level of fraud presents a huge risk for card brands and the business alike. Therefore, the card brands (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) charge you MO/TO pricing on anything completed without a customer receipt signed, or pin number entered. These actions signify the customer was present during the transaction and the signature or pin number is the customer granting permission to run their card.
MO/TO in Today's Business Climate
During Covid-19, there is a greater volume of orders being taken over the phone. Especially, if you're a restaurant or retail location that still took orders over the phone and asked for a customers card number and personal information. You were charged MO/TO pricing. MO/TO pricing is (on average) 31% higher.
The Solution to MO/TO
The solution to MO/TO fees is to integrate an online ordering platform, a shopping card or online store. The online payment integrations allow the customer to enter their payment information directly without every exchanging hands or giving our card information. Another option is to email an electronic invoice whereas the customer pays the invoice with their card and the information never exchanges hands.
Beware of 'Tiered Pricing'
If this is a new term for you, let me shed some light on the term and deceptive business practice. Tiered pricing is when a merchant services sales rep tells you that you're going to pay 1%. Honestly, the interchange fees or "cost of the card" are much higher than 1%. The average cost of interchange or "cost of the card" is 1.7% alone. So, there is no way on earth they can get you processing payments at 1%.
What does that mean?
What they are telling you is that you're paying 1% above the cost of the card. In short, if 1.7% is the cost of the card, they're going to tack on 1% to that bringing you to a 2.7% for transactions. This will be in addition to whatever fees they wish to bury in the statement at the end of the month.
The Junk Fee Family
These can include membership fees, on-file fees, monthly fees, monthly minimum fees, customer service fees, batch fees, statement fees, and the haunting early-termination fees. All of these can add up quickly and put you well over 4%. In that case, you're better off using Square, PayPay or Stripe and eating those high fees.

What is 'Interchange'?
In 100% of merchant services statements you will see a section that is headlined with the word, "interchange."
Interchange are the fees that the card issuing bank must pay to cover handling costs, fraud and bad debt costs and the risk involved in approving the payment. Card issuing banks, payment processors, card networks and payment gateways all charge to use their networks and link those networks together to make electronic payments possible. Those fees are called, "interchange."
This is not something any processing company, processing sales representative or payment processing broker can change. They simply exist as a cost of doing business.
Interchange Can Be Manipulated
They can, however, be manipulated with the Cash Discount or Reverse Cash Discount program; whereas the customer ends up paying the fees the business would normally pay for card transactions. The interchange fees are still paid, and the mark-up the service provider is also paid by the customer during their transaction plus the convenience fee. This is the only method available to businesses right now.

Interchange is not static, it is not a flat number. The interchange fee is typically associated with the type of card that is being used to complete a transaction. In terms of rewards, points, miles, cash-back and other perks with a credit card; the more perks the higher the interchange. A strict debit card has the lowest interchange rate as the fees are simply accessing the network, assessing fraud and risk, as well as covering bad debts.

Do you offer 'Pay-At-The-Pump'?

We integrate with Gilbarco Veeder-Root, and Dover Fueling Solutions which are the only two U.S. based fuel dispensers companies.
